Does anyone even care about animals? Do they have a soul? Do they suffer? Do they feel pain? Are they a consumer product, or a living being? Do they deserve treatment with respect, and why aliens don't feel like that?
If Thiaooubians would have any empathy or any desire to help animals, they would simply put one or two sentences about them in the Book, like: "animals have a soul and you should not do any harm to them" or "you should not eat animals, you don't need the meat to live good life".
But they didn't. Instead they dedicated almost 99% of content to humans and the rest, let's say, to plants (which I highly value as well!).
They've even served a fish-dish to Michel.
I'm vegetarian for many years now and didn't notice any disadvantages of it. Moreover, I feel disgusted just by looking at dead meat, or thinking about eating meat. I was always lifting weights and working out, so protein intake was important to me, and I could eat 3 meat dishes everyday, 7 days a week. Now I eat mostly carbohydrates and fats, or get proteins from cheeses, whey, vegetables and rarely eggs.
That's one thing.
Second thing is that Thao said animals have 3 bodies, and humas 9 bodies. Then she said that animals don't reincarnate, but never mentioned if their conciouness lives after death, or they are wiped out completely when they die.
The wiping out thing would be the biggest mistake of the Great Spirit, as some particular animals show signs of higher intelligence than many "real human" beings (real humans with the "divine spark" of the Great Spirit).
Deleting a greatly developed conciousness, just because it was inside an animal, would be a great waste.
Some people don't believe animals are capable of developing spirituality and conciousness, and even not capable of love (for example dr Tom Chalko thinks dogs aren't capable of love - see the video; is dr Chalko really a spiritually developed human?). Some people also treat animals as a product - they simply want to make as much meat as quickest possible, and do not care about wellbeing of those farmed animals. See the videos from animal death chambers.
Can you imagine how much stress and fear those living creatures experience? Do you realise, that from the chemistry point of view, the physical body produces a lot of stress hormones (cortisol and others) while being transported to an unfamiliar location, and even more so when slaughtered?
Do you really think, that eating such meat contaminated with stress hormones (not to mention the memory of electrons) is good for you?
I'm convinced that it's definitely better to not eat it at all, than to eat that kind of meat.
It is obvious that eating meat of an animal killed by surprise would be much more valuable, but then science says that human meat is 100% compatible with human aminoacid needs, so human meat seems the best way to get the aminoacids we need. But we don't eat humans, don't we? At least I hope so not many of us, do. Canibalism is stigmatized in almost every culture. However I don't really see a big difference between eating dead animals and easting dead people, when in fact the first option is less valuable for a human body.
That is why I no longer eat meat. My fridge is free from dead animals for many years now (and I was a fan back then, eating meat 3 times a day, 7 days a week!).
You can say you are eating pork, not pigs, eating poultry, not chickens, and eating beef not cows, but those are just euphemism to make you feel better.
If you were a farmer, like I am right now, you woudn't be possibly capable of killing your friends. And all animals on my farm are my friends, I wouldn't dare to make them suffer, and wouldn't let anyone hurt them. I would sacrifice my life for them. Would you?
I can have a perfect understanding and great friendship with a sheep. Now imagine millions of them being slauthered for meat, while each one is unique and has its own conciousness. If those were human, you would say it's manslaughter. But they aren't, so it's just "producing a product for consumers".
Doesn't it all sound INSANE? How would you explain to your newborn kid that your are feeding him/her of dead animal bodies, while simultaneously reading childen books about how cute animals are?
The only reason we are eating meat is our parents tought us that. Do not make the same mistake. Let your kid grow up and when he/she is 18 years old, let him/her decide. Before that it is acting against the free will, as you are force-feeding dead animals without the kid knowing about it! This is worse than cannibalism, because cannibalism is actually a concious choice!
Now back to the animal soul thing... some individual animals are more intelligent than many human beings. Should they suffer though their live and being wiped out of existence after they die? Does it sound fair?
To be continued...
